Rural Poor People The Focus Of US$253 Million World Bank Support Package To Nepal - World Bank Press Release The World Bank today approved its largest ever support package to Nepal with US$253 million in grants designed to improve access to basic and primary education, enhance irrigation, expand rural roads, and improve living conditions, livelihoods, and empowerment among the rural poor. The new support package doubles the amount of development resources currently available from the Bank to Nepal.

WB agrees Rs 6.5b grant to fight poverty - The Kathmandu Post The World Bank has agreed to provide about Rs 6.5 billion (US $ 100 million) in grant to the Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) in order to assist Nepal in its fight against poverty.

$100m WB grant for PAF - The Himalayan Times World Bank has agreed $100 million (Rs 6.5 billion) grant to the Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF), recently. However, it will come into effect once the WB board endorses it in December.
It is the highest amount World Bank has committed to the PAF so far. The representatives of government, PAF and WB finalised the accord recently.
