Special Window Programme
PAF executes its regular programme in 40 districts (out of 75 districts) in Nepal that are the lowest in the Human Development Index based on 28 different Indicators. Additionally, PAF can be in all the districts of Nepal with its Special Window Programme. To be selected for Special Window, the programme has to be "innovative". When we say "innovative", it should carry the tremendous potentiality to uplift the livelihood of poorest among the poor people and should hold replicable success.
Besides, PAF has financed 12 out of 20 winning innovative proposals of Nepal Development Market Place (NDM) -World Bank 2005. Agreements were made 12
Partner Organizations(Pos) amounting to NRs. 16m to work in 25 VDCs of Bajura, Dolakha, Kathmandu, Myagdi, Parsa, Saptari, and Syangja districts serving about 8,999 poor households.
Similarly in 2008, PAF has financed 25 innovative projects under Nepal Development Market Place (NDM) 2008. Agreements were made with 25 POs that amounts NRs. 32m to work in 52 VDCs of Chitawan, Dhading, Dhanusa, Dolakha, Jhapa, Kalikot, Kanchanpur, Kathmandu, Kavrepalanchok, Khotang, Lalitpur, Morang, Panchthar, Parbat, Sankhuwasabha, and Sarlahi districts serving about 3,972 poor households. Some of the projects are already completed while others are still ongoing.
